The Initiative for coal regions in transition is currently designing a new toolkit focused on the financing of transitions in coal regions. The toolkit will support actors working at local and regional level (local authorities, businesses and civil society) by providing:

• an accessible orientation across the various sources of EU funding relevant to coal regions in transition, indicating how they are relevant to financing projects at the local level;
• guidance for the effective mobilisation of EU funds in the context of coal regions in transition, including examples of successful programmes and initiatives in this field.

As part of the needs assessment, the Initiative are seeking stakeholder views on key challenges faced by practitioners, knowledge and capacity gaps and examples of good practice in mobilising EU funds in coal regions in transition.

Answers will help develop a toolkit best tailored to the needs of practitioners.
