The inaugural ANZMAC-AMJ Industry Relevance Award has been awarded to Dr. Christine Domegan (LIFE IP Peatlands and People Pillar 3 People's Discovery Attraction lead) and co-author Professor Roger Layton for Layton, R. A., & Domegan, C. (2021). The Next Normal for Marketing—The Dynamics of a Pandemic, Provisioning Systems, and the Changing Patterns of Daily Life. Australasian Marketing Journal, 29(1), 4-14. This award is for the most industry-relevant article published in the Australasian Marketing Journal in the previous year, as judged by a selection committee of academics and practitioners.
The paper is based on EU LIFE Peatlands and People over the past 3 years (and previous EU research grants) and points the way forward for crisis such as climate change, a pandemic and more. It also forms the basis for the sustainability teaching at undergrad and postgrad and research at NUIG.
