Update: this survey is now closed. If you have an interest in Ireland's peatlands or are involved in any aspect of peatland management, restoration and conservation, get involved by filling out the Peat Hub Ireland stakeholder survey.
Peat Hub Ireland is an EPA Research 2030 project (co-funded by DAFM) to collate evidence for the future sustainable management of Irish peatlands. The Peat Hub Ireland team includes Dr. Florence Renou-Wilson (Principal Investigator), Dr. Kate Flood (Researcher) and Dr. David Wilson (Researcher).
Researchers from diverse fields have made substantial contributions to the understanding and protection of Irish peatlands over the past 20-30 years and more. Their work has played a vital role in shaping our knowledge of peatlands and informing policy and practice in Ireland and more widely. The Peat Hub Ireland project have developed an online survey to identify knowledge gaps across disciplines involved in peatlands research. The results of this survey will be integrated with a synthesis of evidence from peer-reviewed and grey literature on Irish peatlands to inform future research agendas and provide recommendations to policy makers and all stakeholders with an interest in peatlands.
If you are a researcher with an interest in the sustainable management of peatlands we would like to invite you to participate in this study. This survey is aimed specifically at researchers - we are developing another survey for the wider body of peatland stakeholders. The survey is anonymous and should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete depending on the length of your answers. Please contact kate.flood1@ucd.ie if you have any further queries. If you are happy to participate, please click on the link below to view the Privacy Policy and begin the survey.
